Selah's video, "You Raise Me Up", on Yahoo's Launch, made me teary. I don't know what the future will be like, but it would be interesting to go to Africa someday. These stills are from the music video, promoting
Laban ministries. It occurred to me, preaching was not the only thing Jesus did. He fed his people. He was filled with compassion, and he loved them. What if God, you call me to another country? With the last two days, I see you have been showing me that you have called those who followed you to be "different", and specifically, you have shown how by my tastes in music, movies and Macs I am different. In the past, I have been persecuted for my tastes, but these things are not important; what is important is that I am different as a light is, a light shining in a dark place, letting the light in me (that is, Jesus) shine in the world. Have I been persecuted for Christ? Am I willing to be different for Jesus? Jesus was as different as can be, as light is from dark, he is holy and truth, the way and the life.
I long to hear your voice in my ear. I am afraid that I may hear you in your word, however. Please hear me and have mercy! Let your kingdom come, your will be done.
Finally, to address this blog. I love my name. I am tired of giving myself clever names. I will take the name that was given to me, and live in my name. Thus, this blog is
